DJForum Top 100 Producers

i think there should be a rule: you must only have a discussion about other people's opinions and general discussion only if you have submitted your top producers.

My all-time favorites:
1) Mala (digital mystikz)
2) The Bug
3) Goth-Trad
4) Clouds
5) Loefah

I really only got into electronic music in the past year, and deep/subby dubstep is my preferred genre, so my producer knowledge is a bit limited. I really need to expand my tastes, but I haven't got a lot of free time to listen.

Don't worry too much, being into Mala and Loefah already pretty much means you have wider taste than 99% of the forum

Honestly the lack of people saying names like

Timbaland
Danja
The Neptunes
Dr Dre
George Martin

etc.

.... confuses me a lot.

What are we calling a producer? It sounds to me like we are including our currently preferred dance music touring DJ/Producers. That makes this almost as "huh?" as the DJMag 100

Ok, RedOne puts most these guys to shame. So has Dr. Luke. So has Sandy Vee.

You can like your preferred genres more but these producers are kicking ass for a reason.

Mike Pelaconi, Alias Prince Fatty is at the top for me right now; not only assembling supergroups for albums and generally smashing the scene using vintage analogue equipment, you can send your own track to his dub service and it'll get the heavyweight treatment, old-time style.
