Last time I paid much attention to Mr. Barrett was before he started making trash music. To me, he completely fell off shortly after High Society. When he started going for more of a jump up sound it got ridiculous. Some cats do jump up right... can't think of too many besides TC in the Hospital camp who do it right. HC definitely isn't one of them.
Only track of his I've been impressed with for a long while was Ghost of Jungle Past. It just rocks.
I'm just sampling the album now.. and man.. what a disappointment. I was really expecting more.. even something in line with the 'Tough Guys Don't Dance' album would have been cool. But yeah.. a big thumbs down. It sounds like he got bored and threw an intern in the chair instead.
