Had someone into EDM started this thread, you wouldn't have made comments like this. You are a butthurt little crybaby who is thinking "nasty Sigma is saying bad words about EDM again" and trying to get a few shots in. You failed, now fuck off. I won't be wasting any more time on you.

Feels bad to be wrong doesn't it? Don't worry, you can apologize through PM. I'll be waiting.

    uhh... this +1.

i couldn't sit through the whole video on account of how crap it was but why are we assuming he was faking it? as long as the soundcard stayed plugged and the spacebar wasn't hit, there's no reason ableton would have stopped a track.

also, who the hell would fake an ableton 'live set' like that? it's functionally preplanned to begin with anyway, they're probably just playing around with some effects and triggering clips when it's time to transition.

Look. .. No one... EVER... fucking EVER!

Should compare Richie Hawtin to a Hip-Hop Dj. Especially if the arguement is "They're both equally as good in their own fields." NO!

I'm sorry. I AM an Edm Dj. But, the level of skill required to be a Hip-Hop Dj I think shits all over the skill required to be a Richie Hawtin.
Id much rather listen to a Hip-Hop sett than a Hawtin sett. A Hip-Hop set over a nice Deep House set, maybe not. But definately over a Richie Hawtin set.
Besides, it takes much more skill I think to be a great Turntablist than it does to do what Richie Hawtin and MANY other EDM Dj's do. Both sides should DEFINATELY learn from eachother to up their game, but, I have strong reserves about Richie Hawtin REALLY does. I know his game is Minimal and "Less is more", but sometimes Crap is still Crap no matter what portrait you paint from it. If you smell the canvas, it'll still smell like shit.

K Richie Hawtin is good at being a DJ. Ready? I'll save you the trouble of opening up youtube and finding a video of him DJing.

HAHAHHAA THATS ACTUALLY THE VIDEO I BASED MY ARGUEMENT ON! hahahaha What a shit cunt! Even the guy says "Im loving all the buttons" FOR WHAT! It doesn't look like he's doing much to the music with them. Oh look he's changing PARAMETERS!!! OMG!!! Except, he's doing it WHILST ITS PLAYING OUT and it sounds fucking shit. It sounds like someone who just got new gear in their bedroom and is pressing buttons to see what they do.

Why couldn't he just play... umm you know? A SONG! one that's been PRODUCED and has things sounding kind of relevant and not randomised... Like, its all sounding good, as a song, then out of no where "OH I'LL JUST PRESS THIS AND THAT" The BEATS are good, but ummm... All that fucking about ruins it? 6mins in, sounds like he spent so much time fucking with shit that the next mix was rushed. I'm sorry I stand by my statement mate

At least he's playing better songs now though. OH WAIT there he goes, fucking it up again by ANOTHER fucking time shift or what ever the fuck it is.
