I've never shared in a group... Or been in a group for that matter. I go strictly off of advertising my mixes on Twitter and Facebook. Oh, and I definitely post on StumbleUpon. Gotten a chance to expand to a whole diff network of people I would have otherwise never reached. I posted my latest mix 3 days ago and I checked on it last night, already had 100 listens! That's a nice achievement in my book!

Sharing to groups had little effect for me. It gave me a negligible boost in listens (and we're only talking 10-30 extra listens a week).

That's not to say that it can't work, but SoundCloud makes it difficult to find big groups of a certain genre as you can't sort them by size. In my case, it just seemed like more hassle than it was worth.

Ellissentials, is there any fast track way to remove your mix from the group to repost it? Currently I'm "ctrl + f"ing my mixes name in the group to remove it. In some of the bigger groups it's taking ages lol

Look at the top of the player for your mix/track. Click on the "Share to group" option: -



All of the groups you're in will be listed there. Clicking a group name shares the mix/track to that group. Clicking it again unshares it. So you can just go down the list, clicking on each group to remove the mix/track from that group, then repeat that process to re-share it.

This mix has 97 downloads in a week. My previous mix from 6 months ago only has like 40. The downloads to listens ratio is HUGE.

TIP: Once the counter reset for "this week" I put a button thats says "Download" that just goes to the soundcloud download link, and since then the ratio is almost half (51 plays 24 downloads). I guess people that aren't familiar with soundcloud have trouble finding the download link.
