DJ Kent all the way from RSA, personally i think his the best DJ down here in terms of how he can manipulate instrumentals, acapellas & samples...his style is growing on me but i don't wanna develop the skill his been mastering, down here in South Africa everyone knows his style

Check his live gigs on youtube and his Ultimix@6 sets

I really like to watch Laidback Luke because I can associate with his style of music and I like how technical he can get on a group of CDJs.

I have always liked A-Trak as a DJ but I never really thought about getting into his league of djing. I'll have to give him a watch/listen.

I'm definitely not a fan of the music he chooses to play these days but A-Trak's technical skills are pretty hard to beat.

Jazzy Jeff vids are always golden. Laidback Luke is always fun to watch, but i've come to find that lately he seems to be losing some of his grit that he had a year or two ago.

I was going to say this. He had some serious style, and now it seems to be falling apart.

I was going to say the same. What do you think the cause is? His creativity lacking? Bored of DJing? Lazy? His sponsors? A-Trak is A-Trak. I don't think there's anyone in the game other than the Grandmaster Jazzy Jeff or Qbert who can go against his skills both mixing, and scratching.

Just watched LBL on DJSounds he was on about a week ago. He still has the ability to put together a crazy set without playing his bullshit pop songs! Also, Eric Morillo is pretty fun to watch, along with Chuckie but there isn't much videos of him mixing for long periods of time. Also Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano!

A lot of it, at least at festivals, has to deal with the fact that he's being put on the main stage every time. This probably puts him in a mindset that he has to go a little more mainstream in his mixing. Granted, he still kills in comparison to pretty much everybody on the same stage, but he doesn't set himself apart nearly as much as he used to.

But like you said, he can be, and still is, on point when he wants to. Popularity might be getting to him? I dunno.
