Anybody else tired of their 1200's?

Mine have always been good to me, I learned how to mix on a pair but the weight, needle dust and maintenance has to be sacrificed.... As a regular working DJ Im going to have to give up the feel of the 1200s for the convenience of some CDJs... Forgot to mention having to replace my styluses and vinyls...

I was which is why I moved to CDJs. I wanted to try something new for a bit, but that doesn't mean I'll never go back.

yea cleaning them sucks and getting them re-calibrated every once in a while is annoying. Although i have the ns7 which is as close as ill probably get to the feel of 1200s, i don't think ill ever turn my back on them or sell them.

Nope. I love my 1210s and when I'm practicing, I use them more than I use my CDJs. As far as cleaning/maintaining them, thats part of owning a pair.

I may be dating myself but I think the cleaning and maintenance are part of the fun of TTs. I don't play out anymore so I don't have to deal with lugging them around anymore.

    nope they are beasts..
love them to bits and that feeling when you two tunes perfectly blended is like mechanical perfection. can't beat it. I had cdj's not been used since i got serato.

When i start feeling a bit tired of my TT's i move them to the outside of my setup (CDJ's on the inside and Techs on the outside) and when i get the itch for vinyl based mixing again i'll switch em round again.

Not at all. I have a travel set I use at gigs that are custom and a newly purchased set of mk2's for the home studio.

Needles and control vinyl aren't much money at all if you're working I'll never sell my m3d's or my 1210mk5's
