    The gear whore in me...

...Is tempted by the prospect of picking up 2 Numark V7s for $550.

The price is right and it gives me 4 decks without the need for a soundcard and all the digital control goodness.

The problem is id have to sell my 2 MK2s that djlotus did an awesome job customizing and restoring.
I dont scratch or anything but I do love the feel of the decks when mixing.

The other plus is that id probably would come out with $500 cash in hand since with the MK2s i could sell my connectiv and my DDM4000 (id pair the V7s with the MC6000).

    Any advice or similar experiences?

Don't sell your Techs, you will regret it. better to save up for the V7s if you really want them.

Money is not the issue (although i wouldnt mind the extra $500 that would come from the swap). I dont have space and dont really need to have both MK2s and V7s.

It really depends, I like my digital set-up, it's quick and clean as well as more easily moved and I'd basically do the same thing with it as if I had TTs and a mixer .

Don't let other people pressure you into "O STICK WITH VINYL OR YOUR SHIT" .

The only other factor is if you're into scratching, I know there's a large difference between scratching on CDJ/V7s then actually vinyl .

I'd say: keep the turntables. The feeling of V7's is nice, but nowhere near that of a proper TT. And you're gonna miss that feeling.

I'm still pretty new to scratching, and 1200's.

But I prefer the control "feel" of the 1200's, as compared to the Mixdeck or the Mixtrack Pro I use for most gigs.

I don't know if it's due to the platter size, or what exactly, but to me it seems easier and more accurate when I perform the same moves on "real" vinyl.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
