    Any recommended Manhattan Record Stores?

So me and the girlfriend are heading over to New York for 3 nights for a break away. We will be checking out the usual places but she wants to check out some beauty places and I want to check out some places that sell vinyl.

I have had a look and noticed that there are a load of record stores but from past experiences it doesn't mean they are good!

I know there are quite a few of you guys close to Manhattan so have you got any recommendations for places to check out? I mostly spin tech-house, house, techno but really looking for some good old disco classics, maybe some hip-hop (Run DMC - Kings of Rock etc style stuff).. And also New Romantic (80's New Wave) stuff.

Let me hear what you think!

+Rep to both of you, will definitely check them out. What sort of stores are they? Tradition kind of record stores or more upmarket type?

+1 to A1. Great hip hop selection. NYC's finest, perhaps.
