Dude, just enjoy yourself. Mix, dance, have fun. You DJ because you like the music, right? Then like it!

Dance a bit and look like you're having a good time. Don't forget to smile. If you want to do more of the "conductor" stuff, gauge the crowd when you're there. Do they look to you during builds and such? Or they just kind of doing their own thing? Experiment with it, see how they react. If your mixing is tight enough, people won't mind if you're acting a little goofy.

    Really?

First off, if this is not a joke. If you have to ask what you need to do behind the decks you should probably not be there. Or simply stand there and pick your nose maybe?

get into the tracks jump around be energetic remember being a dj isnt all about music anymore we are considered artists and performers and in many ways celebritys you have to dress the part live the life and milk the crowd its all about image and crowd control if its a 21+ even i make sure theres champange on deck in my rider so i can spray the crowd at a big drop if not have the crew have a hose ready or even a super soaker... thats just how i rocked out in the past
