What should you do behind the decks?

I haven't seen anyone answer this question before. I'm currently (as some of you already know) the main string DJ for a dance party. This is one of those parties where everyone goes crazy. I know that the DJ will be mixing the tunes, but what should he do if he wants to build up the crowd? Should he slowly raise his hands like a conductor and crash them down on the breakdown? Maybe he could start dancing? I just want to hear everyone's thoughts. Feel free to post pictures/videos of examples.

What should you do behind the decks? Well, don't get caught wanking it for one. Also, don't get caught wanking someone else. Both could have you ending up on a neighbourhood watch list.
