    Your top 10 Dj's

Just had a thought over the last day or so. What are people’s favourite top dj’s?

The Dj’s that have inspired you?

Maybe you went to one of there gigs and it was amazing.

Here is my list in no real order.

Cut Chemist - have 2 of his albums and some of the music I thought was amazing.

Dj Shadow – need I say more it’s dj shadow

Freq Nasty – back in my breaks days, he was the main man. Also went to cream field and had one of the best nights of my life. last dj on@ 4am to 6am. there was no one left accept me on the dancefloor. loved it best night ever, every tune i hadn't heard before but everyone killed it.

Numark – just love this guy style you can see he absolutely loves what he’s doing

    Craze - mad skills

Adam Freeland – again with the break days he has made some brilliant music. Example: we want you soul.

Judge Jules – had some great night to this guy, I will probably get flamed for it but i rocked out to this guy. i don't even like trance.

Sasha – seen him Ibiza and it was immense, plus the number of global underground cd’s I’ve bought

Steve Thorpe – from a Manchester night called tangled. Breaks dj, to be fair he use to work in a record shop and was one of the main reasons i got into djing. i use to go to his night on saturday then go into hmv's and ask him what he had played.. massive help.

Mix Master Mike – nuff said

Q Bert – again nuff said (so close to seeing him one year but he couldn't get a visa. Not happy ended up with Mark Ronson instead)

Scratch Perverts – have 2 of these guys Cd’s. Watched stuff on you tube and also seen them live. Was pretty good night.

Rafik - seen him just after he won the dmc and he was ace. he messed up and i heckekled him.

I probably forgot one or two.

I'm terrible at writing top 10 lists, cos I always leave things out and change my mind, but here's 10 DJs that I think are great (in no particular order): -

Buddy Peace - A great all-rounder that makes some of the best mixtapes I've ever heard.
    D-Styles - The scratch DJ's scratch DJ.
Qbert - Way ahead of his time and I suspect he was put on this planet by aliens.
Woody - Another great all-rounder and innovative DJ.
Aladdin - Amazing scratcher and battle DJ for his time.
Jazzy Jeff - There's lots of reasons to have Jeff in this list!
Cash Money - Great scratcher, wicked battle DJ.
Unkut - My favourite modern battle DJ, amazing scratcher, and makes some nice mixes too.
    Vajra - Great all-rounder.
    A-Trak - Great all-rounder.

There's loads of others - Fuse One, all of the Beat Junkies, the other Skratch Piklz, Scratch Perverts, Neil Armstrong, Klever, Craze, Spinbad etc.

my favorite is DJ Scotto http://djscotto.scotto.tv/DJ_SCOTTO_...CIAL_BLOG.html
I've seen him a bunch of times and met him a bunch of times through promoters. He's just the nicest guy ever and does killer sets. he spins all genres in a single set

Mine would probably all be very mainstream and predictable, but I'll try compile it any way. This is a tough ask.

    1. Mauro Picotto - from his earlier days. Lizard, Pulsar, Iguana etc. Some of the best hard Trance ever made.

    2. Armin Van Buuren - So prolific, continues to churn out tracks I just can't help but love. Seen him live.

    3. Paul van Dyk - created a track that is widely regarded as one of the greatest Trance tracks ever. Not to mention played to over 1 million people on New Year's Eve 2008. Seen him live.

    4. Tiesto - Yup, Tiesto. One remix made him a Trance God, and he puts on a Hell of a live show too. Seen him live.

    5. Gareth Emery - Would make my list for "Concrete Angel" alone, but there's more to him than that.

    6. Seb Fontaine - I live 4 miles from the club he called "The best in the World" (regarding it's atmosphere). Seen him live.

    7. Richard Durand - I love his remixes, they are always pulsating (which is exactly how I like my Trance). Seen him live.

    8. Marco V - I'll be honest, I'm struggling to pick 10 out of the countless names in my head. I like Marco V though.

    9. Sander van Doorn -As with Marco V, another I like but he's been picked at random from the multitude.

    10. Hmmm..... A lot of the "DJs" I wanted to add are actually producers, so I'm kinda stumped here
Pioneer DDJ-T1, Traktor Pro 2, Trance.

i don't know what it is about jazzy jeff. i've watched clips, yes i can see the skill and smoothness. But since i've got into this stuff i've seen more dj's who i think are more technical. I know this guy was one of the 1st guys so thats probally why.
