You should have FM8 show up in your VST plugin folder in Ableton live

FM8 is great! I use it for pretty much all my bass sounds. Lol, If you think its a waste just because it isn't showing up in your Ableton VST folder you shouldn't even be using it.
Did you install 64bit or 32bit? Double check that.
