    Thanks!

Chrome platting here would cost about PhP6,500 (US$155) per platter and an additional of PhP2,000 (US$48) for the electro platting that turns the chrome into gold finish. So that's $203 on each platter. That's more than I charge on a usual refurbishment package per deck. If the client is willing to spend that much, then I would have them platted, but since these decks are used in the club(s), then I wouldn't advise it anymore since the DJs using it are very abusive in DJ gear and don't really care.

SICK! I was thinking about that because my MacBook is wrapped in Carbon!

Someone had actually done that before. I just can't remember who it was. He posted it on DJF 1.0. Oh by the way, the CF wrap on Techinics wasn't my sole idea. Someone here in DJF (Ver Jaina http://www.djforums.com/forums/showt...l=1#post123188) done it first before I did.

As always, another great refurb job. Some club decks can be scary under daylight.

The SL-1200LTD like what you have had a gold plated platter. The whole platter was gold plated. I have a newer SL-1200GLD, and Technics got a little cheaper and spray painted the dots gold instead of plating the whole platter. So you might want to do like what they did with my table and just spray paint the dots gold. Most people can't tell that the dots are spray painted gold unless you tell them. The gold counter weight is still available and so is the gold headshell, but I think stock is getting low and once they run out, you will have to get them plated. As far as I know, the plastic covers are no longer available, they are brown instead of grey or clear. I need a gold 45 adapter for mine, they are no longer available either. Nice job with the restoration.

Well, I would do all those if the owner wished for but since these are going back to the club and will most likely to be abused again, I think it's better not to spend too much for it anymore.
