I have a pair of 635. I've had them about a year now and use them for gigs around once a month (sometimes more). I've never had any issues with them, even though I can vouch for them running very hot. I've always made sure they have sufficient space to cool and after each gig I let them cool down before moving them.

I run PRX 612 tops and the 618s XLF subs and so far I have not encountered thermal issues. However they run hot, real hot could have been designed with a conventional fan for cooling.

Considering the 718s is a passive box, I would hope you had no thermal problems :p

I just bought 2 PRX 612m, they actually dont run as hot as I thought they would. I've read about them getting hot, but while pushing them, they get just about as hot as my old EV ELX, which also used heat sinks. Not too hot that you couldn't touch it. Can't speak about the 625 or 635, but I've been pretty happy. Except for the positioning of the passport on the back... thats a different story. hah

The 718S, as it currently exists in the JBL product line is a passive box, thanks though.

First thing you googled was 718s... but he was talking about the PAST PRX line as he said. Google PRX 718s, thats his box... And to be fair, he had a smiley face too :p

Thanks for your clarification. Obviously rotebass is having a hard time keeping up the topic being discussed.

Actually I was aware of the past PRX line, I didn't see the PRX in his original post and that's when I decided to rib him for it. I guess when you have to explain your joke, it's probably a fail joke so my bad. God damn, you guys like to ruin all the fun lol
