    Issues w/ Traktor

You know, I'm sure I know the answer to this. I think I just want to see if there is another way around this. So, I now own Traktor Scratch Pro w/ an A10 box. I chose the A10 because I want the ability to use 4 decks at a time if need be. I've noticed when I'm loading up a tune while I have 2 tunes going while recording and broadcasting live on two different servers, the tunes start skipping which sounds awful(especially when I am in the middle of a mix). Do I have my settings wrong or do I just need to get more RAM for my MAC? Like I said, I think I know what I need to do, but just in case there are other options, I'd like to know.

Its situations like these that make me weary on buying a laptop and bringing it to the club to play off of. I have a serious temper and I can see myself destroying my laptop and walking out of the booth. LOL

i run an online dj channel..and i have found that when running software its almost impossible to do without lag (latency)unless a second laptop is used..one of the djs uses a single laptop and a controller with traktor, but it has 8gb of ram installed, any less you will really push the cpu to the max.

Figured it was the RAM. I just have the stock 4gb of RAM that it came with. I'll upgrade it.

Honestly when I just have two tunes going at a time, I have 0 issues with it.

Does Traktor kind of slow down and skip a bit? Can you make a youtube video or something of the problem occurring?

Yeah it slows down and skips. I'm at work for the next 12hrs or so, so I can't make a vid at the moment.

SORTED!! It was the RAM. My HD died over the weekend(thank god for my Time Machine) and while my buddy and I were taking things apart, we noticed that it was pushing 1 GB of RAM. Dropped 4GB in dat bad bwoy and things are smooth like exlax now.
