At least 4g of ram maybe Intel i5 or i7 not sure what amd has now ,

The bigger question is what are you more comfortable using Mac or PC

I don't use a laptop djing but I'm a PC guy , I am somewhat advance compare to an average user . If computers are not your thing go for a Mac really easy to use and stable

This belongs in the Digital Djing tools thread. Please be mindful of your topics and make sure they're in the right thread.

Nowadays everyone's using the mac book pro but if thats not in your budget then you need a laptop with atleast 4 - 6 gigs of RAM. Most laptops come with 4gb of RAM from factory. The Intel I series processors like the ones mentioned above are the recommended if using a Digital Vinyl System (DVS) like Traktor or Serato. A laptop with a dedicated graphics card is also recommended especially for video mixing.

Now...the question lies in if you're doing a mild setup like a controller or a DVS system with a mixer and 2 decks?

It really depends on what you want to do with it. Is it only for live DJing or Production also? which software do you plan on using?
