Table Scrims - Open or Closed Back?

Question for table scrim owners... Do you use an open or closed back table scrim? I am leaning towards open for easy access under the table - store cases or access to accent lights. I'm wondering if there are reasons why I should consider a closed back version?

Depends on if you have an aft or fore wind, and the azimuth of your bearing... If you are close-hauled you'll need to luff up to port without jibing so you'll definitely want it open. If you have an aft wind and are in a dead run, you might want to hoist a spinnaker on a lighting stand.

Well done Sween, well done. +Rep

And to 3owls.ca, it all really depends on your preference. If you feel an open scrim would be more beneficial to you, then go with that.

Brilliant! Great advice to make sure the gig is smooth sailing.
