    Introduction

    Hey there,
I thought I should intro myself.
I am not a DJ, but I have been in sound / sound systems since the mid '60's.
You can read a little about me here if you like:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sjoerd_Koppert
The reason I signed up here is because I have just become a dealer for Danley Sound Labs ( http://www.danleysoundlabs.com/ ),
who make some of the best, or the best in my opinion, subs and PA systems available today.
So ..... any questions on speakers / subs and amps are welcome.
Also, if you are in S. Cal or Nevada, I'd be glad to arrange a demo for you.
Especially the subs are flying out the door for DJ systems.
    Peace!

    LOL Good one Dennis!
The facts are very simple. First I don't "hawk" anything. But I used to build and run some of the best PA systems in the '70's when we could afford to ship semi loads of gear around. 4 and 5 way horn loaded systems that sounded amazing. In the mid / late '70's the first arrays came on the scene, to save transport costs, stage space and set-up time. Sound went to hell. Processing and science has improved a lot since but to my ears arrays still sound .... well.... processed. Just not right.
If someone my age (Yes Dennis, I'm a fucking relic!!) still get stopped regularly by (other old) people who say "I remember going to see XX in 19longago and it sounded amazing, I will never forget it!!" That means there has been something wrong since the old days of massive horn loaded systems. Tom Danley DID develop horn loaded systems and he did get it right. That brought back my enthusiasm for live sound. I love demo'ing the stuff, seeing people's reactions when they hear good sound and I am planning to put a system on the road!!
I might not need to - but I love to! And that's what life is all about, doing shit you love

And Dennis, not anyone can spell Double Dutch, but my name is Sjoerd

    Hey Dennis, no apologies needed
And I am simply who I am.If you want a little proof, come and talk to me on facebook.com/SjoerdKoppert
In the meantime, I know a little about systems and speakers and prepared to help anyone with any questions, if I can.

So, should I take your advise and restrict my advise to beginners only?
