    TNGHT - Edits EP

The TNGHT EP was pretty much the most anticipated record of 2012 for me. As soon as it dropped I set about editing the tracks to better suit my sets and this is what I came up with. May contain up to 50% more swag.

    JuxtaPoser Presents: TNGHT Edits EP

I find there are two sides to "grime" and "bass". Sometimes it can be similar to hiphop/rap, and the other times it can be similar to IDM. Personally, I prefer the more IDM side of things. I may come back to these edits (which technically sound great BTW) but I am not a fan of the rap stuff. Thanks for sharing man.

Thanks for the feedback Nick. I completely agree with you, it's a case of horses for courses - these are edits I made so that I've got a "vocal" option when I play out to a crowd needs a hook to cling on to etc. I'll still definitely be playing the originals plenty, I'm just giving myself options. Also, the whole world seems to be (mysteriously) obsessed with Trap right now, so this is my attempt at populism

I got ya, so I guess this also solves the "trap" mystery for me. Why can't we just call it "bass music" and call it a day? Kids these days...

Great work on the vox edits Juxta. The original ep is pretty interesting, probably couldn't play it nowadays, as I have moved almost fully back to house. Definitely something I'd bump in the car though
Find it. Keep it. Work it. Share it.
    Less Talking. More Dancing.
Yeah, I were Burger Daddy in V 1.0

Cheers RDRCK, thanks for taking a listen. House music is pretty much my staple nowadays too, though as I exist on a musical diet of Boiler Room, Rinse FM and "specialist" (late night) Radio 1 shows this kind of sound seems to be sneaking more and more into my life. I actually find it extremely refreshing to listen to producers like Lunice, Hudmo, Rustie, Bobby Tank etc that are pushing very weird and wonderful experimental sounds as a break from my 4-to-the-floor norm.
