Vocals are definitely getting more commonplace. There's guys like Blawan making great use of vocals (either full-on vocals or one line samples) and there seems to be a lot of love amongst the younger crowd for classic-sounding vocal house. Also that whole Jamie Jones/Hot Creations sound is still quite big, lots of summery vibes and male vocals. It's weird seeing the hipster/UK bass crowd suddenly posting lots of Kerri Chandler tracks on their Facebooks, I guess everything moves in circles![]()
It also doesn't help that a lot of Top 40 pop is drifting into the various house styles, and most pop listeners aren't really into instrumental stuff.
