    Homemade light stands?

I've recently started to fancy the chauvet 4 play, but I guess it does not come with a stand. Anyone know of a way to DIY or of a good, cheap light stand? I'm not planning to buy one of these anytime soon ($199 is a lot for a teen who makes about a buck a day )

While we're at it, anyone know of a good starting lighting system that could possibly be cheaper?

Bad idea. Don't even think about making your own home-made stands. That is just a hazard waiting to happen.

Also, it would probably be better off to start off with some wash lighting first.

What would you suggest as a good, cheap, wash lighting?

    Chauvet 4 Bar Mini 2.0

It comes with its own stand and cases, and is DMX linkable if you decide to get multiples down the line.

Ugh $279.99. I might as well forget about getting lighting setups for now

There's a seller on e-bay that sells them for right around $220 after you make an offer.

You can also look at conventional wash lamps and pars. They are selling for dirt cheap these days because people are moving to LED. You just need to watch your power draw with them.
