interesting. my guess is at there is going to be one less keyboard line out there. there is so much product overlap between maudio and akai/alesis alone.

Yeah they need to focus on the strong points of each company and get rid off the rest of their lines. Lots of cannibalism going on there.

Huh. I wonder if anything will start to happen with Torq. Numark, when it isn't doing silly ass "me too!" products, can occasionally release a really nice DJ controller. It'd be nice to see them take Torq over.

Not really. Avid was only making pennies on the dollar by owning M-Audio. While they moved a lot of volume, that volume was very cheaply priced compared to the other lines of product Avid has.

Disagree wholeheartedly, but the Pro Tools kool aid was next to the Apple kool aid.

    Also…damn. That sucks. Well…maybe they'll bring out a 004 to replace the profire 2626. That'd be cool.

I also disagree. I haven't used Pro Tools, but I use Sibelius a LOT in my work, and it's the best notation software available, I think. They have their market, and they do a damn good job catering to it.

    I can't believe there's no 003 replacement yet.

Everything I've seen said the profire 2626 was as close as we were going to get, and it was actually supposed to be decent. But, yeah…a 004 coming out would be kinda awesome.
