    Posting standards

From the forum rules and guidelines:
#5 - Please refrain from typing in all caps or using text speak or "l33t speak" (e.g. (***, @@@, DjCo0Lb1tCh) especially in the subject lines.
Would this principle apply to all-lowercase, little/no punctuation, and AOL/texting-style spellings (e.g., "u" instead of "you")? I have been subjected to several postings lately that follow the aforementioned pattern, and it has about the same effect as all-caps l337 on my sensibilities and parsing of text. It's not a huge deal if there's a typo somewhere in an otherwise decent post - I don't even register it half the time - but whole posts with no Shift key usage and phrases like "u 2" might as well be in Comic Sans, just for good measure.

    lol.

Leet speak does not pertain to all-lowercase, little/no punctuation, and AOL/texting-style spellings.

i can type however i see fit. if you can not read it because your brain cannot function enough to process what is written, then there is a problem with you.

It's annoying, but it doesn't break the rules at written.
