Anyone have experience record vocals themselves?

So I'm currently working on a track and I've recorded a small (I guess you'd call it rap) verse. I'll probably change it around a bit and record it a few more times but I just want to make sure I'm not missing any important steps.

Is there a program you would normally put these vocals through? is there an effect you would always use on vocals?

I know each track is different but I'm referring to the stage just before I even put the vocals into the track. Is there some 'acapella treatment process'?

here's what it sounds like at the moment but keep in mind I just woke up and recorded this. I know it sounds terrible but I'd just done it for reference until I can be bothered to spend a few hours getting it just right. Probably wont even keep the same lyrics.

How to make my home studio

I use ABleton and Novation launch pad for creating my songs.
Am I need a synthezator? (if yes, which one is besser for me?)
and How about Studio speakers (For example KRK Rp5 , ...)
and Microphone? sound card? ....

Still don't know where to start (with Ableton)

So I have the ableton trial but I still don't where to start. I've watched countless tutorials and still don't know what anything is. All of the folders, instruments, etc are in like 50 subfolders & the only thing I really know about is metronome. Everything else is like chinese to me. How did you guys start off with ableton? I want to start with Ableton and I can't get fruityloops. Is there a site where I can learn terms?

Question about vocals....

I had a friend record this DJ Drop. She recorded it on her iPhone and then emailed it to me. What is best process for getting this to really pop. I am using Audacity. I also have access to Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio.

Hi all,

I'm new around here, and I am looking into getting an electronic keyboard to use with Flstudio.
I just have a question, what is the main difference between an Midi keyboard and an electronic piano supporting general midi?
Reason is, Midi keyboards seem to cost more, is there an reason to dish out extra for a midi keyboard?

And i was wondering what is the most important single equipment a beginner should get? I cant really get a whole setup going as it is pricey..
or is the whole setup a requirement?

As the title says.

I always disable it but when I remember to but is there a reason it's there from the start? It seems to mess up the levels of my mix. I want to master it at the end and when I forget to disable it, I have to go through and re-adjust volume levels of every thing before I can start mixing and mastering.
Not that I'm an expert at those but this sure makes it harder.

So is there a reason it's there? Or do they just assume you want it?

i'm playing around with native instrument battery and its pretty fun. I have an akai apc 20 and I want to use it as a drum machine. does anyone know how to custom map an apc 20?

also can I use an apc to trigger synths and other vst's? I hope my question made sense. :)

So, if you could go all hardware route which will be your dream set up?

For me it will be those two, plus and octatrack and a VA polysynth to get some pads, all processed inside octatrack.

Jamming elektronic music like that is my dream :)

Right I would like to record my mini mixes using my USB connection on my nox404! The destructions are not clear At all on how this should be carried out.

Is it just a case of connecting my mixer up to my laptop via the USB connections and opening up the recording software????

And also is there any particular recording software that is recommended that is free or cheap as its only for personal pleasure and a few mates.

What i need beside Ableton software? (packs , loops ...?)

Hello again.
I choosed ABleton to start making my music , but my big problem is that , I don't know what i need beside that and where i can buy them , or find them.
Am i need Loops? samples? packs?
or All i will make by myself?
And tell me which toturials and learning is best for me to start and get advance in Ableton Live 9
Note : I know about ableton generally but How to start, where to start and ... , I really don't understand. Mixed up :(((
