Hello everybody reading this.
I'm new into DJ:ing, and I have been producing for roughly a year.
I produce darker and heavier sounds, because that's what I like to hear and listen to and also maybe due to my past.
Short about myself, I am currently 15, born and raised in Sweden. Producers who influence me are Datsik, Excision, Getter, Mantis etctera.

This is my newly produced track, feedback would mean alot, really.

I have a Chauvet Scorpion GBC 2.0 that weighs ~6lbs and then a smaller laser that weighs ~2lbs or less. I am trying to come up with some type of setup that isn't going to look like absolute garbage. All the tree stands I have seen are WAY too big for what I need. I'm trying to put this in the corner of my apartment (see attached pictures). I have thought about mounting it into the wall but I think it'd look like shit having wires running up the side of my wall. I'd almost rather do a truss that way it flows with the industrial look of the apartment and I can wrap the wires and have it look decent.

This is the area I will be putting whatever it is I purchase. I have 16" from wall to mini fridge, I can make more if need be but would rather not. I'm not terribly worried about the cost as long as it is worth it.

Guys,

My name is Lemmii (duuuh!) and I'm paying for professional logos, channel art etc. the thing is you see I'm having second thoughts about my childhood nickname and rebranding myself as Lamassu.

Pros: I get to start a new YouTube channel , mixcloud and Facebook page losing all of my noobish mixes. I also believe the name to be quirky and mysterious(for lack if a better word) Lemmii sounds juvenile.

Cons: I lose my identity and start from scratch. Lamassu doesn't have any meaning to me (yet).

So Lemmii or lamassu?

Cant have this grx artist redoing all his good work so if in doing it I need to do it yesterday.

Thanks guys!!

Hello All,

I new in the djing. I'm 51 married with 2 children. I try several technics for mixing and creating new songs but was not very successfull. But I discovered a month ago some new tools with IT system on Linux. So you can create, mix very easily instruments, records tracks and modify them as professionnal soft.

I make this first attempt:

But it needs more work I guess

I have made a remix of a track today that I like the sound of. It needs a lot of work before it's complete but I like the general idea of it and when I Listen in .wav, it sounds terrific.
But listening in 192k or whatever bit rate soundcloud outputs, I can hardly tell the difference between the build up and the drop.
Since this is the first time most people would hear the track, should I master it to sound great specifically in that situation (however that would be done)?
Do you master or mix a track differently for different purposes? What do you focus on for each version?

Hi, I'm new in the forum and I'm starting to make some mixes, I did some before but the were really bad lOl, but now, I created my first "decent" mix, and I want you to hear it and tell me what do you think about it, in what way I can improve my mixes and all that stuff (I'm using Ableton Live 8 and Adobe Audition CS 5.5) , I'm starting so don't be so rude xD.

The songs are (in this order):

1. Erick Morillo, Harry Romero Jose Nunez - The Porno (Original mix)
2. Above & Beyond - Walter White
3. Orjan Nilsen - Violetta (Original Mix)
4. Krewella - Alive (Hardwell Remix)

And the song:

http://www.mixcloud.com/tgshocker/su...ctro-mix-2013/

I know I have to improve, that's why I want you to hear the song and hear the opinion of experimented Dj's and if you think it sounds good or really sucks xD.

And I have a question, I want to know if I can ask for donations???, because I'm really want to go deep in all this music world and right now I don't have the money to buy Turntables and Controllers and all that stuff.....

Thanks for your help people! :D

 https://soundcloud.com/ni-kulo/playground

haha,... 3 drops, all pretty trash electro/halfstep stuff,... all very distorted, very hard.

also i couldn't think of an proper intro, (really had 3 versions and all were crap), so i decided to screw the intro

compressed the hell out of it, hope its not too harsh, and that you clearly can hear all the elements

looking forward to your feedback

thanks so much for all the time,

nico.
