Lots of tech and electro, some prog (both the uplifting trancey stuff and Deadmau5/Funkagenda kind), some of the disco-esque sounding deep house as well as the deep house that borders on tech, some of the classics, and I love UK Hard House.

I really like modern progressive house with fat, greasy synths.

But all in all, I spin everything house.

I did not like tech/tribal in the beginning, but after I've found a few artists I liked, this sub genre took a new perspective. It is just a matter of finding some tunes that will make you want to look deeper into a genre.

At gigs I play a mix of electro, tech, progressive, funky, blog (lol, so I can claim my indie dance is house), and for lack of a better term, "rave house" which combines techno and house, but isn't tech house.

There was a channel on di.fm for a while called "exposure nyc". It was an awesome mix of tech house, groovy non-banging electro, the new wave of prog house (aka that tech-prog from like 2006 on), etc. I can imagine the NY tribal types moved on to tech house, it's a similar idea.

I tend to play all kinds of house too, there's so much variety and focussing one sound can easily get quite boring.

I like to move from slower deeper house into whatever gets my groove going.

I still really like the older progressive sound, and I was really into the tribal sound around the turn of the century, Peace Division, Steve Lawler that kind of thing. The progressive tracks are really fast by today's standards, but it can be quite cool slipping some progressive classics in at the end of a hard techno set, the BPMs are about right and it can be a really nice way to change the atmosphere of the room send everyone home smiling.

Depends on the night/venue/promoter but usually either Tech House or Club House. How come no one has listed Club House?

What do you define as "club house"? Nearly all house music is aimed at clubs and calling any genre club-something is far too vague.

I play stuff on the deeper or techier side. "Deep house" and "tech house" have lately become bywords for uninspired Beatport fodder with a few nice chords or vocal snippets here and there but I guess they're ok words to describe my taste in house. I like stuff a bit rough around the edges too, for example the New York guys (Levon Vincent, Qu, Joey Anderson, etc.), Appointment/Vinalog series, etc. Can't beat the odd French 90s filter classic though :D I used to think that stuff was kinda cheesy but these days you'd definitely catch me playing it sooner than any Shite House Mafia tune.

I'm also a bit of a former prog-head... not a fan of much recent prog but I was well into stuff like John Creamer & Stephan K, Luke Chable, Sasha and Digweed, Nick Warren's sets circa early 2000s, etc for a while.

Collecting electro house , prog house. Dirty beats but also love a bit of vocal. Can't beat a remix or two as well with some classic samples.

I'm not sure what to click. I used to say I played US Garage then it kinda got badged Soulful House for a long while and has recently started getting called "true deep house" in the backlash/wake of what is now deemed deep house.

Whatever you want to call it I play house with elements of soul, jazz, disco and funk. Laidback and jazzy :)

It's hard to tell, i think we need more sub-genres for deep house cuz we have to many different types. That's why it is the biggest electronic genre at the moment. I produce for example deep house and when i'm looking for some deep house online i find all sorts of 'crab' (in my opinion) and they sell it as deep house.
