Hello guys i am in the marked for a mixer/midicontroller, and i know that the Denon DN-MC6000 can also function as a hardware mixer. Does some one own a Denon DN-MC6000 an can tell me what things work if you are using it as a hardware mixer, and what things don't work (talking about features because i recon effects aren't gonna work because he the controller doen'st have any build-in effects.)

Hoi borrow:
Dat klopt. There are no efx on the mixer side of the 6 unit. You have mid, high and bass (low). You have cross fader, and up and down faders for 4 channels. You can plug via aux inputs up to 4 additional things like vinyl table/CDJ, etc and run them with those knobs. You can also split the difference like I do and run channels 1 and 4 for CDJ, and use the other two for running Traktor decks in MIDI.
Hope this helps.

You can learn to beatmatch with any controller with jog wheels. Just don't look at the screen. ;)
You'll be able to play on anything once you learn.

As far as I know, this is the best choice. Maybe the only one. That was what sold me me on mine. Personally, I love it. It feels good on the hands, is built like a tank, and you can crossover Midi and standard signals.

The Vestax VCI-400 can also function as a stand-alone mixer.

So far, I have not had any problems using all 4 channels this way.

Yeah, I thought they made one, but wasn't sure if it was the 300 or 400 model, so I didn't post it. But I was thinking on your level. Thanks for clearing that up. As I understand it, they are also a very solid choice.
I feel like I made the right decision with the Denon. I almost bought that model before I chose the 6000.

I also own the 6K and agree with pretty much everything Happy Trees said.
The only thing I feel is lacking is the number of in/outs for Traktor as the way they setup the controls there is only 2 stereo channels (Main L/R & Monitor L/R), thus the mixer portion is completely MIDI and forces you to use the internal mixer within Traktor rather than actually mixing audio via the hardware mixer. However, I think all the "hardware mixer midi controllers" function the same way, including the Vestax & Numark.
