Hi guys,
Just like to announce the launch of the NADJ (National Association of DJs) London and the first meeting which will be on Monday February 27 at the Dukes Meadows golf Club in Chiswick (http://www.dukesmeadows.com), west London on Monday February 27 from 7pm to 10pm.

This is a brief schedule of the 1st meeting:
Myself presenting some brief news about the formation of NADJ London.
Paul "Tech" Bouzan: Talking about some seminars he'll be presenting at future meetings on technical issues to do with audio & lighting, and taking questions from those present on questions they'd like covered in those meetings.
Dave Reed from RSD & The Discobusiness.com, talking about DJ pricing and marketing.
Naheed Hanif, an expert on social media will do a presentation on using social media such as Facebook, Twitter etc to gain more work.
Scott "SBDJ" Bye from Virtual DJ will talk about some seminars he'll be presenting in the future on Virtual DJ and taking questions from the floor on questions they'd like covered in future meetings.
A speaker comparison will be carried out by Knight Sound & Light (www.knightsoundandlight.com) between the Bose L1 and the HK Elements system, with reps attending from both companies.
There will be presentations from Mastermix (http://www.mastermixdj.com), Promo Only (http://www.promoonly.co.uk) & Knight Sound & Light (http://www.knightsoundandlight.com)
Peter Lockwood from NADJ will also talk about the formation of the NADJ London branch.

The meeting is FREE! there is a bar, a huge free car-park and you can network with some great DJs from youngsters starting out to hugely experienced guys that have been DJing for decades, and everything in between.

Future meetings will likely rotate between west, north, and east London, and possibly south London. We want to maintain good relations with SEDA and so unlikely that we'll meet in south London, unless it's South London, but quite central.
Some of the presentations lined up for future meetings include:

One of the top honcho's from Juliana's will give a talk on the best way to gain DJ work abroad for those that would like to go down that route. For those that don't know Juliana's they have been one of the biggest companies in supplying British DJs to a huge number of countries around the globe for 4 decades.
Presentations on technical issues to do with audio & lighting
Presentations on Virtual DJ, Serato & Traktor
Various audio & lighting manufacturers will present their equipment
We'll have a guest local retailer at each meeting
An accountant will give tips on doing book-keeping for the self employed
The owner of a Comedy School will talk about taking a comedy course to help with your presentation skills
Marketing tips on gaining more work
Plus many others

It's really helpful to know how many people are coming so if you would like to come and you use Facebook, it'd be great if you'd let us know that on this Facebook event page (http://www.facebook.com/events/356205027723097/)

The Facebook group for NADJ London is http://www.facebook.com/groups/NADJ.London/ and this is a group that will be used to discuss meetings, issues/topics that members would like covered at meetings amongst other things.

Dukes Meadows Golf club is by Chiswick bridge, but isn't the easiest place to find, so check the directions on their website at: http://www.dukesmeadows.com/

London as you all probably know is a huge place and so i would really appreciate it if any of you know any DJs in London, if you could let them know about this.
