Hey folks! I'll be short and simple.
I need to make a choice for my first MIDI controller for DJing. I'll play mainly Techno and use Traktor Pro.
I'll be using 4 channels, 2 of which for mixing tracks and the other 2 for additional ambient sounds/drum patterns during the build ups. I will definitely need enough knobs to manipulate all the channels - their pitch,effects, etc. This video may be used for a rough example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1KvDgp4dLA @ 7:30
And to conclude my specifications:
1. Good control over all the 4 chanells - pitch, effects, looping, EQ, EQ kill
2. Reliable and comfortable knobs
3. Combined well with Traktor Pro
4. Beeing good for its price
My price limit can go up to 400$ and I want to buy one that meets my specifications as much as possible and worths the price. But if you have any suggestions about a controller that really worths the price, I can raise it to 600$.
I've been considering brands like Vestax, Numark, Reloop.
