Hey guys,

Not 100% sure where to put this (when in doubt, throw it in the General forum ;) )

Basically, I am looking for someone to create a professional quality DJ intro (minute or minute and a half long) and a couple professional sounding DJ Tags. I will pay for the services obviously

Anybody interested, I have some specific requests.

Honest feedback here man; intros, DJ tags and name drops are cheesy as hell. It's embarrassing to hear people using them when you're out. If you really want to be taken seriously, avoid them unless you're a turntablist and you intend on doing something shit hot with them

They have their uses. When making mix CD's for demo and posting. Its good to have a DJ Drop. If I am headlining a night, I will use it. But if I am just at my residency doing my normal thing. Then ya, it would be cheesy to use it.

DJ drops, when not abused are a good idea just to get your name out there.
If you're playing a big event, its always nice to make them custom for the events.

I wouldn't go with a minute + though, simply something that states who you are listening to and ?where?

DJ Drops are good for many various reasons. And yes.. in some situations.... don't use one.

http://www.jeffradio.com/ is what I've used in the past. Great place.

I'd agree. Just use them for mix CD's, Podcast's or radio etc

I've used Paul Fabrick over at Bassline Voice Overs (http://www.basslinevoiceovers.com/) numerous times for my drops, and he does spectacular work. Plus, he seems to be a supernice guy. Examples of his work can be heard in almost all of the mixes and sets on my Mixcloud page (http://www.mixcloud.com/djbadger).

Good luck to you!

What sort of DJ are you? I can make good ones for hip-hop DJs/turntablists, but I feel that I shouldn't cos a good hip-hop DJ/tablist should easily be able to make their own.

I don't agree totally, having your own signature intro for recording mixes is pretty common, and not cheesy at all.
