Starting to get back into Djing after 8 years. I have half my setup complete. So far i have SL3, a Macbook Pro, and a pair of technics 1200s Mk2's. As far as a mixer, I'm clueless to the standards and the differences. Not looking to spend over $200 because I'm just starting out and want to get my skills up. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

We need more information. What is your mixing style? Do you want a scratch specific mixer or a traditional 2 line mixer?

At $200 budget for a mixer, the best you can buy is the American Audio QD5. Good scratch mixer for its price. I would suggest saving up more and get the Pioneer DJM250 or the A&H xone22. But I would choose the DJM250 over the xone22 though. :)

Appreciate it. Whats the standard for a more traditional mixer?

Pioneer is still the standard brand for mixers and CD players in majority of clubs. Although There are many other good mixers from Ecler, Denon, A&H, Rane, etc.

In the US; In clubs and radio stations it's Pioneer DJM 800/900 or Rane 57/62
