Finally got all my new lights in. This is from last Saturday.
I'm really impressed with the Hyper Gems. What a light for just $129! I'm a DJ - not a light guy - and have everything running in sound active master-slave. These Hyper Gems do a great job on their own of pulsing with the beat and somehow changing patterns when they sense a change in the music. It's pretty amazing!
The Chauvet Tridents mounted on the speaker cabs are pretty cool too, but they don't sync with the beat and just run though a fairly short preset show. But I can't complain for a light that only costs $89. I've got them sync'ed too.
All in all I'm really happy with my new lights. The whole setup cost me $694. I've been meaning to do this for a long time, but recent price reductions got me moving.
