Like the title says, I'm torn between saving (a long time) for the 2000s or going for the 3900s. Has anyone here got their hands on a 3900 yet? Would love to hear some reviews about it. How would you compare it with the 2000s, besides the fact that pioneer is industry standard and all that?

A couple friends have them around here and really really like them. I haven't had a chance on them yet tho

well for half the price of Pioneers and be able to have the vinyl feel, haha now i'm really considering it.

Blaze, any chance you'd have a review on it soon? after trying them, would you say they are on par performance-wise with the Pioneers?

if you are using them to just control serato, they work fine, tested them already. If you want to use them in standalone mode via Engine and/or usb drives, there are still a few kinks to be worked out

If you don't need spinning platters, I would wait until at least June 8th...thats when Denon will officially announce the SC2900 which (allegedly and almost confirmed) is basically an SC3900 with a jog wheel instead of a spinning platter. I would imagine this player would come in at about $100 less than the SC3900.

the one I know effected me the most is the key lock pitch issue, if key lock was on and you adjusted the pitch from lets say +4 down to 1 or 0, it would sound very jumpy like a bad sounding mp3, you would have to shut key lock off and set to 0 and start again. Denon has acknowledged this and will fix it according to the post on their forum. I had this issue on a loaner I had and reported it before I returned it

heres the link to the bug report by another user: http://www.denondjforums.com/forum/index.php?f=59&t=17797&rb_v=viewtopic

i think i'll wait it out till the fall. hopefully most bugs are fixed by then. that's interesting, 3900 but with a jog wheel? i guess they're really trying to beat pioneer now. but if i had to make a choice i'd def go for 3900 with the spinning platter, would love to get in to turntablism as well.
