So, I've been DJing for quite a few years and three years ago I was approached by my niece's cheer coach to do a mix for their competition; DJing suddenly became a challenge again! LOL

So for those that are not faint of heart, want to have some great fun and want to learn a new side of mixing, here's the challenge.....

1. Your mix cannot be longer than 1 minute and 45 seconds
2. You MUST use at least four songs
3. you MUST use sound effects (these are essential for a good cheer mix!!!)
4. BPM must be 140 or higher
5. Music production/sequencing software is ESSENTIAL for this!
6. Mix is due by Sunday June 3, 2012

I realize that most of you here have never made a cheer mix before so if you are really looking to amp up your skills and do something incredible FUN then sign up for this. I am willing to take on up to two other DJ's so we can make this a three way... Wait, that sounded bad LOL.

If you need music production software, you can get Sony Acid for FREE. PM me and I'll send you the link! If you need to hear a sample of what I am talking about when I say cheer mix, I can also send you a link if you PM me.

140 bpm & up is usually dubstep/hiphop?

Not necessarily. A cheer mix has to be extreme high energy........ Those kids would be jumping and flying through the air! LOL In the last one I did, I used a bunch of happy hardcore tunes.

140 bpm & up is usually dubstep/hiphop?

double time 80bpm would be 160bpm. so the likes of dnb, rock ect can work too

If you plan on trolling then just leave now because this is a legitimate battle for DJ's that would like a new challenge. I produce my own mixes, I don't need anyone elses if that's what you are trying to insinuate.
