I've been looking to pick up a new hobby, and DJing looks pretty cool. I play the drums and piano, so I'm not clueless when it comes to rhythm and beats.

That said, I have zero experience and know next to nothing about DJing.

I was thinking about buying this controller as a starting point:

Any thoughts on it?

The ns6 is pretty dope. I bought it, but upgraded to technics 1200s 6 months after cause I wanted to get serious with it. But I learned all the basics from my ns6. Just don't use the sync button right off the bat. Learn how to beat match by ear. Basically, don't skip the basics.

The NS6 is an excellent controller.

Don't forget to buy a headphone splitter (one side for headphones, the other is for speakers).

If you dislike the product, you have 30 days from futureshop to return it.
