It's more breakcore/IDM/Hardcore, it's Mike Paradinas, he did a stupidly rare remix of Hellfish's 'Magical Digital' on Deathchant. His label championed early dubstep but of late he's been making particularly maudlin downtempo tracks (since his wife left him ) and has become obsessed with footwork/juke music.

Here's some more of his stuff in a hardcore styliee you may or may not dig:

Also heard a recentish hardcore remix of that old hardcore anthem DJ's Unite (below) which I wouldn't mind tracking down if you know it:

Industrial Hardcore sounds like Gabber IMO.

seems like many of the gabber producers also dabbled into industrial. that's why they kinda sound alike though gabber seems to have dominant drums.

It's a looong time since I've listened to hardcore seriously. What's the scene these days? Who are the big DJs? What kind of sounds are popular today?

DJ SS spends more time doing gigs in America than England these days. I follow him on facebook and he's more popular than ever. People still go crazy over his sets.

That's why he's always been my favourite DJ. He has produced some great material over the years and helped countless other DJ's and producers get their work noticed. There must be no better feeling that mixing tracks you have written yourself.

He's also stood out to me because he is always 'busy' behind the decks. He's always doing something and trying new ideas. Interestingly I hardly ever see him scratch even though he started as a scratch DJ hence the name DJ SS (DJ Scratchenstein)

When I think of Cotts, I think of Hardcore. Same goes with Ravine. They are best buds.

I recently unearthed this gem. It sounds much better when you speed it up to at least 160BPM. I listened to this and was as exited as I was when I first heard Mobious strip. Seriously cool music.

It doesn't get more hardcore than this when played at a hardcore speed. Press play and get ready for a surprise that only the film From Dusk Till Dawn can match.
