Hey guys,

Im new to the forum and Im slowly learning about what I need to get rolling with my new DJ setup. I have been a DJ a long time but just now got to the point where I can start to spend some money on all new equipment.

One thing Im looking for is a high speaker stand, or should I say a heavy duty light stand that will hold my gobo over the dance floor about 10 feet high. I want something HEAVY DUTY, maybe even a crank stand?? Thats why I say speaker stand.

What do you guys suggest??

Thanks in advance!!

I think ultimate support makes an entry level crank stand for around $300 that goes to 13feet

Dave,

Thanks for the reply. I actually couldn't find ANY crank stands made by Ultimate.

Got a link?

Those Globals got some height to them! I may have to check into those. I was going to recommend some that On-Stage makes, however, the height isn't going to be near as tall as what those Globals got on them. The Onstage ones that I use are crank, and get up to 11 1/5 ft max. Also, they do come with the T bar on top and two swing out arms below that if need be (they are removeable), cost is about 150 per stand. 80 lb weight cap is recommended although I think I've pushed that theory a time or two by going over board.
