What's up everyone? I have a few questions about the lights I'm looking into. First, I'm trying to decide between getting two ADJ Colorbursts or two Chauvet DJ Banks. I'm also considering getting just 1 Chauvet Colorstrip Mini / Colorstrip in place of the two previous lights. Does anyone have either of these and can you comment on how bright they get? Also, I'm looking into either a Chauvet Fallout or a Chauvet 4Play CL Moonflower. Would this work well for a small party of about 75 people max in a relatively small basement? I'm looking to DJ small local parties. Also, in terms of budget, I'm not really set on one yet because I'm looking at getting speakers still. Thanks!

Forget the Colorbursts and DJ Banks. They are not worth your money and probably won't be bright enough anyway for 75 people.
A ColorStrip Mini would work better.
I assume you'll want to spend at least $200, so take a look at the Chauvet ColorRail. It's nice and bright, and is great eye candy even without effects.

+1, I'd also go with the Colorstrip/rail.

Thanks for the input. Is a $100 Colorstrip Mini a good deal. It is open box, so barely used. It's the cheapest I've found so far. I'm thinking about getting two minis.

You can get them new for $100.
I would still go with a Colorrail for $200, instead of two Minis for $200.

Why? I was thinking that I could use one to the left and one to the right of me when I do small parties. Just wondering what you're opinion is on this.
I use 2 Mini's Master/Slaved atop a t-bar with a bit of distance in-between. Great wash, go for it.

Thanks DYM. I'll hopefully order them in a couple of days once I get the money together. I'm so broke right now after buying a new laptop. DYM, do you use any center piece lighting with the 2 Mini's?

Yep. I have the two Minis with an ADJ majestic underneath them. I also have a mini tri-ball mounted on each speaker stand. The tri-ball effect is definitely great, clients love it. I would stay away from the ADJ version though. The next thing we are upgrading/adding are Chavet's mini tri-balls or the Jellydome tri-balls and scrims.

I did this same setup in college and it worked great for me. I did plenty of 200+ people fraternity parties with them and they provided enough wash for all of the house lights to be turned off.
