I have 2 pair of these drivers. http://www.selenium.com.br/sitenovo/admin/Documentos/15CO1P_i.pdf The have a great rep for being a great sounding driver when a proper cabinet is made for them. My woodworking skills are not the best so I have been looking out for a properly build cabinet that would have the specs these drivers need. A mint pair of Sound Dynamics 1500 Concert Monitors cabinets (less drivers) came up and the specs were right on for my drivers. I have had them in other boxes but they sounded terrible. In these boxes they have come alive. Great bass, nice mids and extended highs. The imaging is dead on due to the coaxial design. Best of all these drivers need very little wattage to get them excited.

This is a picture of the cabinets before the conversion.

Here is the finished product. As you can see I sealed up the hole where the horn tweeter was. Yes I still have the original cloth grills and badges.

Nice. How comes coax drivers aren't more popular? I'd have thought that coax would be a good choice for reference monitors etc

Yep, I've recorded in a studio with coaxial Tannoys as near field monitors (I used to sing in a rock band).

Sweet! Haven't heard of that driver before. The numbers are amazing. Sounds like the SQ mostly backs up the numbers too. This is what I need for my home theatre. I don't use surround due to logistical problems of getting the speakers in the right positions. I really want something with high sensitivity and output though. What's the internal volume on those cabs?
