Not really new but new to the DJ'ing world. I have done some Jr. High dances back in the day for some small schools, Did some gigs with college buddies for a couple of faculty dances. Done a few weddings, and birthday gigs. I have had quite a bit of mobile stuff before the good equipment came in. I mean I had bought a mixer from Radioshack and used that. It had 2 inputs a crossfader no EQ controls. We used tape decks and old school CD players to do the music and fade transitions.
I wanted to get more into it so I bought a cheap midi controller from Numark, and Virtual DJ, Giged a few times with that and it was okay, But I wasnt really DJ'ing I am moving away from the laptop to do it the old fashion way. Now learning proper on CDJs and a real mixer.
Did a few mixes, not that great but willing to learn.
