I have created a similar thread like this in DJF 1.0 and it was quite a busy thread.
The purpose of this thread is to survey and not a "Mac vs PC" comparison/flame war. So please do not post irrelevant replies that may lead to flaming.

Gateway P-7805u FX, 17". When someone makes a 21" laptop with a great graphics card, I'll buy that.
2. Specs: Processor, RAM, HDD/SSD, Video Card, USB ports (2.0/3.0?)
Core2Duo, 4GB DDR3, 1.28TB over two HDDs, 9800M GTS, paltry three USB ports.
3. Advantages/weakness
Dual drive bays, lasting gaming power, fast, big screen, desktop replacement, all my stuff on one box, cost-efficient.

Big.

ASUS F3SV and a custom shuttle-style gaming rig that cost all of $200 to build and laughed at Crysis.

My tablet and phone fulfill all of my "don't need a monster laptop" needs.
Should add: What do you think you will get next?

Note, my current and only computer is one I bought in a hurry just before I made my move to the States.
Laptop - Toshiba Qosmio X500. (Bought it open box. Price was too good to say no to)
Screen - 18.4" - Yeah, this thing is huge. Too bad there's not a single laptop bag to fit this thing out there in the market, lol.
Processor - Core i7 740QM - that's 1.7GHz quad core, so it's far from the greatest out there. However, it does the job.
RAM - 8GB DDR3 1066
HD - 2 X 500GB - 7200RPM
Sound Card - In-built - Very average.
GPU - nVidia GTS 360M - This thing has managed to do decently with the few games I've thrown at it.
Screen - 1980X1080 - HD native resolution.
1. What computer/laptop are you using: Brand/Make, Size
A: See above
3. Advantages/weakness
A: Big screen and meant to be somewhat of a desktop replacement. Picked it up only for the decent price I got on it. Weak processing power. It does the job, but it can be slow every now and then. Running a clean install of Windows 7. Hate all the bloatware that comes loaded stock. It is very heavy for a laptop. While it has good resolution, I feel the screen brightness isn't great. A laptop that accepts multiple drives is an advantage. I'll eventually jump on the SSD bandwagon.
4. OS
A: Windows 7 Home Premium
5. Programs installed, games, other softwares (non-DJ/audio)
A: It is my primary computer so it has games on it, CSS, FIFA, etc. Photoshop and productivity apps.
6. DJ/Audio softwares used
A: Ableton, VDJ, Traktor
7. Any problems experienced/occured (if there are/were)
A: The processor is a little on the slower side, though I've never encountered issues with crashing or lagging (bar the rare one here and there) with any of the programs I have installed)
8. How long have you been using it or purchase date?
A: Picked this up early 2011
9. What was our previous computer?
A: Wasn't doing much DJ related work with software before. It was an HP desktop that had an upgraded PSU, GPU, RAM, etc. AMD dual core processor, 2 GHz. As slow as this desktop was, it never skipped a beat and I took great care of it.
10. Why you purchased your current one?
A: Needed a laptop as I was moving and had no final destination at the time.
11. Your other/secondary computer (if any)
A: None at the moment
