Hello,

Just need a suggestion for a performance video shooting and audio recording for 4K/24 Bit.

This is a Vinyl set and the mixer is Z2. It is connected to Scarlet 2i2 and the audio interface is connected to the Macbook, camera is also connected to the Macbook. The software I use is OBS. But OBS fails is the video quality is good.

- If OBS is not a good option, which software is better to use? Should I use the same software for video shooting and audio recording?

- Indeed for audio recording I would like to use Logic Pro X, but not sure if it is difficult to synchronise the audio with the video after.

Is that for a live recording, or you plan to record then edit later?

In Logic Pro X, you can just drag and drop the video, mute it then sync the audio track separately. Absolutely not difficult at all. The other alternative is using Blender (editor/CGI software), but that's the complicated big daddy in video software. Another option is Ableton live.

Another thing is, there is a free 90 day trial of Final Cut Pro X available from Apple, if you fancy giving it a quick try.

Hello Manu. Thanks a lot. I did not know Logic Pro X was an option. I want to record a set to upload to Youtube, this is why I asked. Not for live streaming etc. This week I tried to record some videos and arrange them with iMovie. This also works but I am not sure if the sound quality when I export the file from iMovie.

I'm afraid I can't vouch for imovie, as I haven't used it. Whatever suits you best I suppose
