I have been using cd players before and now i bought stanton str8-150. I'm using stanton 680HP catrige. The problem is that i hear the music from stylus which is actually pretty loud. Some records sound louder than others. For example qbert's super seal in the 4th dimension plays extremly loud. What can i do to fix this? I hope that i can get some help, thanks.

Nothing to fix, it's normal. That's how records work. Your cart & sound system is just amplifying what you're hearing from the needle.

Yeah i know that it's normal, but is it normal that the sound is actually really loud? I'm standing in front of turntable and i can almost listen to the music without the speakers. Is that ok?

Yea it's brand new. And you are right. Old records aren't that loud at all.

Ok, looks like there is no problems then. Let's pop some more volume and continue scratching. Thank you guys for the answers! :)

It's quite normal. Sometimes I'll mix with no headphones, just using the noise from the carts.
