Why are moderators so trigger happy when it comes to the closing of threads? Most of the time, I have noticed the thread that got closed didn't need to be.
And seriously, look at the date. If you miss a classified thread that you didn't notice until someone finally responded to it, don't touch it.

Moderators here operate based on admins instructions &/or policy/rules. Everyone makes mistake occasionally, but most of the time, our moderators do a pretty good job.
If you can point a specific thread(s), I'll take a look at it & either correct it or let you know why it was closed.

Look at this section. Did any of those threads require closing?

"Require" closing? No.
Further useful? No. The topic/question/ for which the threads were started, was complete. Thread complete. Closed.
Need closing? Yes

Threads shouldn't be closed unless there is an actual need for it.
There was a need for it... the thread was done. It wasnt "Required" to be closed, but there was a need for it to be closed. As were the other threads closed in this section.
Taking notes, thread closed.
Mod abuse!
Just posting on a closed thread because... Monday!
