Hi
I currently have a controller that needs the laptop to use with just rca's output. from the controller it is connected to a PA mixer then it connects to the speakers from trs to xlr. I am going to buy a standalone controller to use without the laptop and it does have xlr outputs. Should I connect the speakers directly to the controller or use the same PA mixer? Does the PA mixer degrade sound quality compared to the speakers connected directly to the controller?
Thanks

what is the name of the controller
In general, the sound quality difference should be negligible so I'd keep the speakers as is to test the controller.
If it works, then test with the speakers going direct to the controller.
As both should work, take your pick.

The controller is a reloop beatmix 2 mk2.You need a laptop.
The controller just controls the software (SDJ) on the computer that is hooked up to the controller.
