Hey guys,

I found this deal on kijiji and was wondering if it is worth it.

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-musical-instruments-pro-audio-recording-equip-Professional-Grade-DJ-Equipment-2-Turntables-Mixer-Serato-W0QQAdIdZ337496917

it consists of:
2- Stanton STR8-150 model
1- Serato SL1
1- Denon X1500S

Please let me kno ASAP if this is worth it. THe units seem mint.

Its either i get this or for the same price get a new numark ns7 for probably less.

ALL feedback is appreciated. THANKS!

I think its a smidge overpriced. Two Stantons at Canadian prices could prob be had for about 800 used (and im sure you could find for 650-700) and serato could be had for about 300. Right there thats 1000. The DN-X1500s is not worth 800. I'd say as a package, thats prob worth about 1000-1200. Just my opinion. good stuff, but a little pricey. AVSHOP.ca (reg contributer here) is selling brand new Numark TTXUSB's for $399, snag those and wait for a mixer deal and you're in better shape IMO.

Seller told me he would do 1550$ for the tables, mixer and serato.
Is it worth it? or should i just spend that money and get a new ns7 system?

Still too much.

ST 150s shouldn't be more than 700 used, and that is a fair price that is on the high end. Serato should be right around 300, as stated above. The mixer should be 1 to 2 hundred more. Tell him you'll pay 800... then when he scoffs at you, offer 1100-1200 (your call). It's a negotiating technique and it's 60-70% effective (as long as your first offer is sufficiently low and your second offer is sufficiently reasonable, but still less than what the seller wants).

Honestly, don't pay more than 1200 dollars for the setup. If the seller refuses to meet you at 1200, take your business elsewhere

i hear you. thanks for the input. @RDRCK are u taking into account that this is in canada though? also, would a ns7 new be a better bet?

Ignore this comment. Really, just because the exchange rate are on pair doesn't mean the prices are driven down... If Canada's market for DJ gear had a huge increment then well.... that would be a MUCH better argument.

Back on topic...

That Denon Mixer goes for about 300-400 here... so $1550 is actually quite FAIR.

However... for $1550, you could get a nicer setup.... The mixer itself ain't that great... It's ok... but I would suggest something nicer. I would suggest offer $1000 - $1100 for the turntables and serato. I would better suggest you getting a cheaper mixer like a Rane TTM 56 or even a 54 for the remaining $400-$500...
