Could anyone please help with their best lists if "background music" for weddings? More preferably during cocktail hour? And during dinner hour? Thank you in advance :)

I enjoy using the Vitamin String Quartet music for a few songs. Deano. Frank. I don't have my playlists in front of me but I've got a good 4 hour dinner/cocktail list compiled.

I have all different background music I like to use... I try to tailor the music to the couple's tastes.

These are some of the one's I've done:

Vocal Jazz Classics - Frank, Dean, Etta...
Instrumental Jazz - Miles Davis, Coltrane...
Smooth Jazz - Benson, Kenny G...
Big Band Jazz - Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman...
Classical - Mozart, Beethoven, etc...
Upbeat Blues - SRV, Clapton, Buddy Guy...
Popular Reggae - Marley, Toots...
Light R&B/Motown - Marvin Gaye, Al Green...
Classic Oldies - Drifters, Beatles...
Doowop Oldies - Skyliners, Platters...
Light Rock - Rod Stewert, Elton John...
Acoustic Pop - Jack Johnson, John Mayer...
Light Country - Zac Brown, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney...
Upbeat Light Mainstream - Mraz, Colbie Callait...
Upbeat Indie Rock - Vampire Weekend, Foster the People...
Indie Downtempo - Portishead, Massive Attack...
Light Classic Rock - Stones, Tom Petty...
Light 80's Pop - Hall & Oates, Cutting Crew...
Light 70's Pop - Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Carol King...
Jam Bands - Phish, Grateful Dead...
Southern Rock - Skynyrd, Allman Bros...

Too much "background" music to choose from to make a general list...
