In Music: Sampling. No trend has lasted longing from 1985 until today.
In Fashion: Fat Laces. Fat laces have been around for so long (since around 1981 or 82) it's not even consider a trend anymore.
in Slang: Fresh. Dope comes in as second longest trend in Hip Hop slang. Fresh started in or around 77. People started using Dope in 1987. It went from Fresh to Stupid to Stupid Fresh to Ill to Dope(1985 - 1987).

Your question is a bit of a problem in itself considering anything that lasts for awhile is no longer considered a trend and is instead looked at as part of en era.

Various forms of scratching, mix tapes, and hip hop radio stations.

That narrows it down.

Simultaneously fearing and embracing the streets themselves while flaunting status symbols. Bragging about how much better you are at rhythmatic poetry than the other guys are, and making money in the process. Lets not forget grafitti on the pyramids, and sneakers worth murdering someone over.

Using "z's" for "s's" and the word "lil." Could be wrong.
