Once again thx to Magichorsie (where ever the hell he is) for the thread title.
I needed a place to put my newly aquired M-Audio Fast Track Pro and couldn't find anywhere appropriate considering I was already out of room. I thought about making a stand from scratch when I saw something at work being disposed of. It was already adjustable and contoured nicely with the round corners of the FTP. So I figured I'd grab it and mod it! :teef:

I cut out the pivoting bracket then drilled and tapped the holes to mount to the back plate which I cut from a sheet of steel I bought at Home Depot.

The two contoured sides I had to cut from the original piece - drilled and tapped.

I used whatever hardware I had lying around so I had to cut each screw down to size.

All assembled with a short strip of aluminum angle for the bottom lip. Top:

Bottom:

Mounted and ready to record:

I'm pretty happy with the outcome even if it is a little rough around the edges. The only thing I'm not sure about is if i like it mounted so high - I might lower it sometime in the future. And yeah, it could use a fresh coat of paint, but that ain't happening - I hate painting, no patients.
Thx for looking!
