Hi there, looking for help in identifying this jungle tune, it dates from early 90s, maybe '92/'93...

That doesn't sound like drum-n-bass to me. Sounds more like reggae.

It sounds like ragga jungle and I googled some of the lyrics but not finding anything. The music sounds a bit shoestring keyboard so it might be a demo or something like that which is impossible to identify unless someone who knows it can explain its origin. Where and when did you first hear it?

Yeah you are right, it's more of a reggae tune, but...

It was on a jungle mix type from about '92/93, by DJ Dara (Irish), he was a friend of a friend who had a 'bit' of a career as a jungle DJ. I believe he moved to New York towards end of the 90's....

I have just 'googled' him and found out he is reasonably well known! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_Dara....perhaps best if I could get in touch with him! I have lost contact with my friend who was good mates with him.

Thanks for the replies.

Ok, heard back from DJ Dara (Darragh) and it's a track called Lionheart from a 1993 DigiDub label album called South East of the Thames, available as vinyl but no digital copy to be had :-(

Thanks for help.
